Year 6 Teaching Assistant – description

You will be working at a lovely primary school in Leeds in a Year 6 classroom. Your role at school will be working with the class teacher to support them and their class where needed. The role could involve you working with groups of children to help them grasp certain concepts that they find tricky, alternatively with children who are high ability and need to be pushed further to gain a greater depth of understanding. You will be working closely with the class teacher to help plan lessons and your own intervention sessions. The experience that you gather together will prove to be invaluable as you begin your career in education!

Year 6 Teaching Assistant – person criteria

• You will need to have a minimum 2.1 in your degree from a reputable UK university. Various subjects are considered and welcomed
• Strong A-Levels and GCSEs
• Prior experience with young people not essential but would be beneficial
• Bubbly and positive personality
• Wants to work in education in some form
