Are you a passionate, outgoing and enthusiastic recent university graduate with prior experience providing 1:1 & small group Phonics support to children?

Perhaps you’re an aspiring Educational Psychologist that would value the opportunity to work with challenging children that have behavioural issues?

We are currently working with an SEMH specialist provision school located in the Birmingham area who are eager to add a dedicated, hard-working and resilient Student Phonics Mentor to their superb learning support department in a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year.

In this role as a Student Phonic Mentor, the successful candidate will be required to provide 1:1 & small group reading and writing support to KS4 students based outside of the classroom environment.

Student Phonics Mentor – Role Information:

  • Providing 1:1 & small group phonics support to KS4 students
  • Creating tailored support sessions for students outside of class
  • Located in Birmingham (B11 area)
  • Paid £460 per week during term time only
  • Monday to Friday role based in one secondary SEMH school

Student Phonics Mentor – Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum 2:2 UK based degree
  • Prior experience providing phonics education to children
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Passionate about the development of young people
  • Naturally outgoing and supportive individual
