SEND Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Small Heath, Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with SEN experience to develop their experience and skills, whilst making a difference to the life and education of young people with SEN.

SEND Teaching Assistant – The role:

  • SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Long-term, full-time support role
  • Working in one school for the entire academic year, no day-to-day supply
  • £300 – £350 term time weekly pay
  • Supporting SEN students inside and outside the classroom
  • Work with students on a 1:1 & group basis
  • November 2022 start

SEND Teaching Assistant – Person specification:

  • SEND Teaching Assistant
  • Minimum 2:2 degree in a psychology related subject
  • Strong academic background e.g. A Levels and GCSEs
  • Prior experience supporting people with SEN
  • Desire to make a difference to the life and education of young people with SEN
  • Supportive & patient attitude
