Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant – Role

· Provide individualised support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other challenges

· Assist classroom teachers in implementing personalised learning plans and accommodations to meet the diverse needs of SEN students

· Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported

· Support students during transitions between activities, classes, and locations within the school environment

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers

Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant – Requirements

· 1st or 2:1 degree from a top UK university

· Previous experience working with individuals with special educational needs

· A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs

· Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may face challenges in their learning journey

· Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs and preferences of students
