Science Graduate Academic Mentor – The Role

• Science Graduate Academic Mentor – Long-term
• Full-time, Monday – Friday
• Immediate 2022 start date, until July 2023
• £85-£95 per day (term-time rate)
• Support secondary school students in science lessons
• Offer tailored 1:1 support to high achievers and to students that are struggling with the curriculum
• Deliver small group-intervention based sessions
• Prepare students for GCSE/mock examinations

Science Graduate Academic Mentor – About You

• Science Graduate Academic Mentor
• Minimum 2:2 grade in the Sciences
• Strong A-Levels or equivalent
• Prior experience tutoring or peer mentoring would be advantageous
• Can work independently and part as a team
• Aspirations to forge a career in education
• Proactive and flexible person
