Person specification – Maths Teaching Assistant

• Maths (or related) degree – 2:2 or above
• Strong academic background
• Passion for education – ideally an aspiring teacher
• Previous experience tutoring/working with children would be desirable but not essential

Role and responsibilities – Teaching Assistant – Maths

As a Maths Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring students overcome individual barriers to learning in Maths. As a graduate yourself, you will look to inspire students to achieve fantastic grades and enhance their confidence.

You will assist the teachers closely in supporting students on a 1:1 basis, and help to implement strategies to change this. You will work closely with many different stakeholders including pupils, parents, teachers and senior leaders to track and monitor progress.
