Learning Support Assistant – The Role
- Learning Support Assistant
- Support children with SEN in the classroom
- Create a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
- Support the Class Teacher and assist with the delivery of lessons
- Work 1:1 and in small group-based intervention sessions
- Acknowledge progress and give praise where appropriate
- Record progress and encourage children to participate in activities and schoolwork
- Upper KS2 SEND TA
- Promote inclusivity throughout the school

Learning Support Assistant – Person Specification
- Learning Support Assistant
- 2:1 or above in Psychology (preferred)
- Excellent academic background
- Interest to pursue a career in SEN education
- Passion for supporting children with special educational needs
- Some experience working in a SEN environment would be beneficial
- Comfortable in managing challenging behaviour
