This warm & welcoming SEN specialist school are looking for a graduate who can work alongside their primary & secondary class teacher to ensure students are engaged and excited about performing arts lessons.

As a Performing Arts Teaching Assistant you would be expected to have knowledge of art, music and performing arts combined with a patient and proactive manner to support the schools students who will have an autism diagnosis.

The role is for a full academic year and is designed to give you a fantastic insight / experience into a future career in education in this Performing Arts Teaching Assistant.

Performing Arts Teaching Assistant – The role:

  • Performing Arts Teaching Assistant
  • Support SEN class teachers
  • Work across primary & secondary phases
  • Working with students on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Long-term, full-time support role
  • £430 – £480 term time weekly rate
  • Interviewing asap
  • September 2022 start

Performing Arts Teaching Assistant – Person specification:

  • Minimum 2:2 degree in a performing arts subject
  • Strong academic background e.g. A Levels
  • Passion for art, music & performing arts
  • Prior education experience is desired
  • Desire to work with SEN
  • Strong communication skills
