Health and Social Care Lecturer – The role:

  • Start: September 2024
  • Permanent contract
  • Full-time 1.0
  • Responsible to: Curriculum Co-ordinator
  • The role will involve marking coursework and lesson planning
  • Work alongside a supportive Senior Leadership Team
  • Supporting students’ University applications and overseeing personal statements
  • Providing UCAS references
  • Opportunities for career progression with potential for TLR promotions down the line
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students and, as appropriate, referring to your Learning Area Manager on issues of student discipline.
  • Providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers, including information about sources or more expert advice on specific questions; making relevant records and reports.

 

Candidate specification – What the college are looking for:

  • UK QTS
  • NQTs are welcome to apply
  • 2:1 or 1st class degree, in a relevant course
  • Strong academic background
  • Good to Outstanding teacher observation grades
  • Strong classroom management
