Head of Religious Education – Job Description

• Head of Religious Education – permanent position
• Full-time role, Monday – Friday
• Salary – £32,157 – £50,935 plus competitive TLR
• Mentor and coach teaching support staff
• Work alongside the quality of education team to enrich the department
• Teach planned lessons to assigned pupils and be integral in lesson planning
• Model excellent classroom practice
• Provide support and advice to parents/carers

Head of Religious Education – Experience and Qualifications

• To be able to model excellent classroom practice
• Ability to lead CPD to ensure excellent classroom practice for all staff
• Highly experienced Teacher of Religious Studies
• Experience in instructional coaching to develop staff members teaching practice
• Skilful curriculum planner
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and transform lives
