Located in a brilliant school in the Camden area of North London and well-connected to local public transport links, this school is easily accessible by a number of bus and train routes. The ideal candidate should be confident and considerate with a keen interest in working with young people and education as a whole!

Graduate SEN Learning Mentor – About the role

You will be given training and support to have the right tools to support the pupils who have autism and sometimes struggles to focus within lessons. At times your role in school will include taking the child to the fantastic sensory room which is within this school in order to allow the child to remain calm and happy. For the majority of the time you will be supporting the child within mainstream classes, however on occasion you will be required to support the child on a 1:1 basis outside of the classroom within interventions including some speech and language therapy. For this area you will be given support and training by the school’s lovely SENCO.

Graduate SEN Learning Mentor

If you are an aspiring teacher or educational psychologist this role will provide you with excellent and varied experience at a competitive rate of pay. You will be in the same school for the academic year, allowing you to build good rapport with staff and students as well as allowing the pupils to see a consistent role model throughout the year.
