A warm and welcoming secondary school in Shirley, Solihull are recruiting for a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join their team of caring, supportive, and committed staff in the next academic year. The role involves supporting a year 7 student with SEN, aiding them access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom and providing modified materials as required.

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – The Role:
- Graduate Learning Support Assistant
- Located in Shirley, Solihull
- Providing support to a student with SEN in a mainstream school
- Promoting the student’s educational, emotional, and social development
- Employing and adapting various teaching strategies to suit the needs of the child
- Liaising with SENCo and teachers to aid access to the full range of learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom
- Helping with intimate care
Graduate Learning Support Assistant – The Benefits:

Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Applicant Requirements:
- Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject
- Previous experience supporting people with SEN
- Previous experience working/volunteering with children and young people
- Passionate about supporting people with SEN
- Understanding, patient and empathetic towards young people’s needs
- Dedicated to making a difference to student’s experience of education
