Graduate Academic Mentor  

Are you a recent graduate who would love to put your subject knowledge to use? 

Are you interested in education and would love to gain more experience in the classroom setting? 

A fantastic secondary school in St. Helens is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Graduate Academic Mentor which would see you assisting across various departments on a 1:1 and group basis full-time over the academic year.  

Graduate Academic Mentor – Role Information:  

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for KS3 & KS4 students 
  • £475 – £500 per week 
  • Focusing support sessions on the academic weak points of students  
  • Monday to Friday 8 am – 3 pm (approximately) 
  • Long-term position  
  • Start in November   

Applicant Requirements – Graduate Academic Mentor: 

  • Minimum 2:1 degree UK-based university degree  
  • Prior experience teaching, tutoring or mentoring desirable 
  • Outgoing and motivating individual 
  • Strong communication skills  
  • Can work independently and as part of a team 
  • Interested in education & teaching  

Graduate Academic Mentor – The School:

  • Excellent exam results  
  • Located in St. Helens (WA9 area) 
  • Great facilities & resources  
  • Graded as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted  
  • Supportive SLT
