Academic Mentor

Academic Mentor- The Role

  • Monday- Friday Term time role
  • Paid £450 – £500 per week before deductions (term time)
  • Offer 1:1 sessions outside of lessons
  • Work with pupils in English/Maths who have a range of SEN
  • Support pupils in small groups and tailor learning plans to their needs
  • Assist the classroom teacher during lessons
  • Create resources
  • Ideal for aspiring teachers
  • Interviewing ASAP for January starts

The Schools – Academic Mentor

  • Schools across Leeds – primary, secondary and SEN
  • Graded Good or Outstanding by OfSTED
  • Encouraging SENCOs
  • Exceptional CPD offered to all staff
  • Connected via bus routes
  • Experienced supporting the careers of i-teachers’ graduates

Academic Mentor – Person Requirements

  • Minimum of 2.1 in an academic degree subject from a Russell Group University
  • Passion for education
  • Genuine determination to start a teaching career
  • Strong academic background is essential
  • Compassionate and driven graduate
  • Excellent communication skills
