1:1 Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Perhaps you are pursuing a career in Speech and Language, Child Therapy, or Education Psychology, but must first acquire initial or further school-based experience?

This Derby-based Primary School, a true pillar of the local community and the envy of competing provisions, are in the process of seeking a 1:1 Primary SEN Teaching Assistant high in both energy and empathy, keen to make a difference to the lives of a vulnerable disabled student, to join their dedicated inclusion team as soon as possible.

1:1 Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Benefits:

  • £400 – £500 per week
  • Full-time role lasting at least the entirety of the academic year
  • Ideal for an aspiring Education Psychologist, SEN Teacher, Child Therapist, or Speech and Language practitioner

1:1 Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role:

  • Primary school located in Derby
  • 1:1 Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
  • To work from the beginning to end of the day specifically allocated to a single child who has been thus far home-schooled, with significant gaps in learning
  • To foster academic growth and ,social integration, and to provide emotional support and intimate care
  • To forge seamlessly a positive working relationship wherein the child trusts you to encourage from them the changes necessary
  • Sociable hours of 0830 – 1530 weekdays (no weekends)
  • Coveted Primary 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant role
  • Interviewing immediately

1:1 Primary SEN Teaching Assistant – Pre-Requisites:

  • Experience in Primary Schools or with SEND
  • Confident and communicative personality type
  • Previous work with children necessary
  • DBS on the Update Service
  • Passion for education and in the emotional progression of young people in crucial stages of development
