At i-teachers we are passionate about developing graduates, we truly believe in practising what we preach! For the third year running we have worked closely with Manchester Universities to offer an undergraduate a paid yearlong placement in our head office as part of their ‘Sandwich’ degree.
Jack is our current placement student, here are a few words about how his placement is going so far:
In September 2018 I started my placement year at i-teachers, and through the past 6 months I have been able to learn a variety of vital working skills and techniques enabling me to know how to conduct myself around an office environment, and the necessary attributes you need to have to be a valued member in a working environment.
A placement is a necessary experience to have, as it has enabled me to analyse and develop a variety of transferable skills from fellow colleagues and experiences at the company.
At i-teachers I have been able to develop a number of attributes that will benefit me as I progress in my working career, such as my ability to identify talented and skilled graduates suitable to be working in a school environment. I have been able to use a variety of marketing techniques and strategies for the company, such as social media platforms, advert writing and helping initiate the creation of a website blog.
I know that these learnt skills from my time as a placement student at i-teachers will benefit me massively, and help me standout from other graduates due to the time spent on my development by my colleagues, and the vast amount of training and preparation I have received.
In the coming months I hope to delve further into marketing side of the company, and make sure that I am offering the best possible skills knowledge that I have acquired, not just from my time at i-teachers, to ensure that the company is able to reach a wider target demographic and display our fantastic service for both schools and graduates!
