SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Type – Primary SEN Teaching Assistant     Location – Merseyside, Liverpool, L1

Pay – £450-£500 Per week                                     Contract Type – Long term

At i-teachers we are currently working with an amazing Primary School located in Liverpool. They are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team on a long-term basis. Role/ Key responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs
  • Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in teaching methods
  • Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Aid in educational development
  • Ability to identify issues in pupils learning
  • Work closely with class teachers to implement individual education plans and adapt lessons to meet student needs
  • Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to teachers, SENCOs and parents
  • Commitment to safeguarding protocols

Essential requirements

  • 2:1 or above
  • A caring and patient approach with strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with a range of learning difficulties
  • Previous work experience in a school
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to get one
