The School – Teacher of Science:

This is a fantastic school to be an ECT as the training & development is second-to-none.  SLT strongly believe in the importance of professional development and progression opportunities are clearly marked for those who are ambitious.

This school is full of character, benefitting from a new building which students are proud of.  Students come from a range of different backgrounds, speaking many languages and keen to pursue different passions.  The atmosphere is calm even during the lunch hour!  Students behave well and are dedicated to their studies.

All 3 Science have a good uptake at A Level and the existing department staff uphold excellent standards of teaching and learning.   A broad range of extra-curricular activities is available to enrichen the curriculum.

Teacher of Science – The Role:

This role will see you working across the Key stages 3-5 ensuring all pupils achieve their potential.  You should be confident to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3, with the ability to specialise in KS4 and KS5. It is essential that you are confident, engaging and innovative in your teaching practice and have received ‘Good’ or better in your most recent observations.
