If so, we have a fantastic opportunity supporting a KS2 child with autism in a welcoming primary school in Wakefield from November.
SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Support) – The Role:
- SEN Teaching Assistant
- Located in Wakefield
- Providing 1:1 support
- Promoting the pupil’s educational, emotional, and social development
- Supporting pupils that need it the most and can be the hardest to reach
- Employing and adapting various teaching strategies to suit the needs of the child
SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Support) – The Benefits:
- Paid £425 – £500 per week, term time only
- Long term role, no day-to-day supply

Applicant Requirements – SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Support):
- Right to Work in the UK – no sponsorship
- Minimum 2:1 degree
- Have a good understanding of ASD
- Previous experience supporting an individual with Autism
- Passionate about supporting people with SEN
- Understanding, patient and empathetic towards children’s needs
- Dedicated to making a difference to pupils’ experience of education
